    Born to a tailor's family in Muro Lucano, Basilicata.

  2. Tonsured — 1752

    Professed as a Redemptorist lay brother under the direction of Alphonsus Liguori, after persistent rejection had finally given way to acceptance into the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.

  3. Died — 1755

    Died of tuberculosis at the Redemptorist house in Caposele (Materdomini) on October 16. The cult of his patronage of expectant mothers spread after a dying woman was reportedly delivered safely after invoking him in the months following his death.
