Kizito was baptized on 25 or 26 May 1886 by Charles Lwanga, the leader of Uganda's Christian community at the time, at Munyonyo.

Kizito was burned alive on 3 June 1886 at Namugongo on the orders of King Mwanga II of Buganda, the youngest of the twenty-two Uganda Martyrs.

Kizito was canonized on 18 October 1964 by Pope Paul VI in Rome, together with the other twenty-one Uganda Martyrs.
