Life events

1. born — 1260

   Born to a wealthy family in Forlì, then aligned with the anti-papal Ghibelline faction.

2. tonsured

   Entered the Servite Order (Order of the Servants of Mary) at Siena after his conversion.

3. ordained

   Ordained a priest within the Servite Order; returned to Forlì to found a Servite house.

4. other

   Tradition holds that an aggressive cancer of the foot (variously described as a tumor or canker) was healed the night before scheduled amputation, after Peregrine prayed before a crucifix in the chapter house.

5. died — 1345

   Died at Forlì at approximately 85 years of age.
